Weight plates for plate carrier. Now we have steel to carry around. Weight plates are sold in pairs, the thicker plates are 8 mm and they weight 4,2 kg / pcs. Thinner plates are made from 5 mm steel and they weight 2,7 kg / pcs.
So when we use mathematics we get the following weights. Pair of 8 mm plates are 8,4 kg and 5 mm pair is 5,4 kg. This is the Standard weight used in CF-games. We tried to stuff these in 5.11 tactical plate carrier and we found out that you can easily fit 4 pieces of the 8 mm plate per each side. We were so weak that we were not able to carry anymore, but if you are strong there is room for more plates.
With that setup the total weight was 34 kg.
Plate size: Height 280 mm and width 250 mm.
ATTENTION! These are not made to protect you from bullets! If there is a risk of getting shot while training we recommend to buy ceramic ballistic plates.
